I recently decided to affiliate my practice with Privia.
Privia is a membership organization that provides coordinated wellness services to enrolled patients of selected physicians.
Privia provides care coordination, 24-hour trained nurse response phone line, travel related referrals, and dietary and fitness planning.
My patients can sign up for privia for a small monthly fee and enhance their health care in many ways.
Privia goes beyond what you get from health insurance and provides you with additional, non covered benefits and services.
Privia offers you secure messaging with your doctor and additional resources that enhance the office services that I provide.
Around the country, most patients who sign up for Privia remain members; but you can cancel your membership at any time.
Privia, I believe, will enhance my practice and help ensure the viability of my private practice at a relatively low cost to my patients.
Privia is NOT concierge medicine and I intend to remain a PPO provider, see medicare paients (I've even added healthnet PPO, interplan, and others.)
